Hendershott Wealth Management® is a thriving, distinctive financial services firm seeking a full-time, fully remote Financial Advisor to join our team.

We are hiring for the right advisor fit and may consider candidates at either the Associate Advisor or Lead Advisor level, depending on experience, credentials, client-facing expertise, and ability to independently lead client relationships.

Job Responsibilities

Depending on experience level, responsibilities may include:

  • Develop and deliver customized financial plans aligned with client goals
  • Support retirement, tax, estate, education, risk management, Social Security, cash-flow, and debt-management planning
  • Recommend investment strategies based on client objectives, risk profile, and goals
  • Conduct or support client meetings, including preparation, follow-up, and ongoing planning updates
  • Collaborate with tax advisors, estate planners, and other professionals to provide coordinated advice
  • Manage and grow client relationships with care, responsiveness, and professionalism
  • Represent HWM confidently in prospective-client conversations, communicate the value of our planning process, and support client conversion and AUM growth
  • Respond to client questions promptly and accurately
  • Maintain accurate client records, follow internal workflows, and complete tasks through to resolution
  • Process or support client service forms and requests as needed
  • Oversee and be responsible for business development, marketing, and firm growth initiatives

Skills & Traits Required

  • Strong knowledge of comprehensive financial planning, investment strategy, tax-aware planning, estate planning, retirement planning, and risk management
  • Clear, concise, and thoughtful written and verbal communication skills with ability to explain complex financial concepts clearly
  • Strong relationship-building and consultative sales skills
  • Ability to communicate value, guide prospective clients through decisions, and represent HWM with professionalism and confidence
  • Strong interpersonal aptitude, emotional intelligence, and problem-solving skills
  • Self-starter with an entrepreneurial spirit and excellent client-service standards
  • Extreme attention to detail, with ability to manage work through to completion
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Strong regulatory awareness and commitment to ethical, compliant practices
  • Experience with eMoney, Holistiplan, MoneyGuidePro, Orion, Schwab, or similar platforms preferred
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills preferred
  • Continuous learner and coachable team member
  • Authentic and kind, while able to hold appropriate boundaries
  • Passionate about empowering women and helping clients grow their net worth

Education and Experience

Candidates may be considered for an Associate Advisor or Lead Advisor level depending on experience.

Required or strongly preferred qualifications include:

  • 3+ years of financial planning, wealth management, or investment advisory experience required; experience at a Registered Investment Advisory firm strongly desired
  • CFP® designation strongly preferred; required for Lead Advisor-level candidates
  • Series 65 or Series 66 preferred
  • Experience working directly with clients as a financial/wealth advisor, financial/wealth planner, or similar role
  • Experience serving high-net-worth clients preferred
  • Experience in a fiduciary advisory environment preferred
  • Experience with comprehensive planning across retirement, investment, tax, estate, risk management, and cash-flow topics preferred
  • Experience with business development, client retention, or relationship growth preferred
  • Experience bringing in clients or assets is welcome, but not required

Things to Know

  • Full-time, remote position working Pacific Time, Monday through Friday from 8am to 5pm (working Pacific Time is non-negotiable)
  • Compensation range of $110,000–$210,000, depending on experience, credentials, and role level
